Barricades of Respite
Posted on December 16, 2021
The ocean was one of dark agitated waters with a chilled, late spring wind, buffeting me as I walked. My path brought me to a barricade of tall shrubs: tranquillity was restored.
We all need these barricades of respite from time to time: against the oceans of unsurety, the wind whip of busyness, the windblown sands of circumstance and challenge. And it’s important to “intentionally” find these places of restoration, hope, and peace; and this is my desire for you over this Christmas and New Year’s break.
Thank you for doing the journey with me here, this year. These newsletters have become increasingly challenging to write as I strive for relevance, succinctness, and clarity - so your feedback has meant much.
And with that, I wish you all the best and will myself, be finding a barricade of respite these next few weeks.
See you in 2022.
Ray
